Come celebrate the 100th anniversary of women's right to vote! The morning session, for Daisies through Cadettes, will feature activities helping girls earn a merit badge or petal by learning about different aspects of the women's suffrage movement and doing arts projects (drawing, play writing, or poster-making, depending on age) on the topic. In the afternoon, girls in grades 7-12 are invited to come to an open Q&A about women in politics with Auburn University women's history professor (and troop leader) Melissa Blair. Merit badges are not included in the cost, but all girls will receive a Women's Suffrage Event patch for the back of their sash/vest. Snacks will be provided. Cadettes interested in attending both sessions should bring a sack lunch.

Cancellation Policy
By YOU - Cancellation notifications must be submitted to customercare@girlscoutssa.org before the registration deadline. A 15% cancellation fee will be withheld for registration refund processing. By COUNCIL - For cancellations due to weather-related problems, or for other reasons beyond the council's control, we will attempt to notify the troop contact listed on the form by email or telephone. Every attempt will be made to issue full refunds for such cancellations. If an event is cancelled by the council for reasons other than those stated above, you will be notified as soon as possible via the contact on the registration form and a full refund will be issued.
